The State Cinema is a Hobart icon that has entertained generations of Tasmanians for 100 years, playing a major role in the social and cultural life of the Hobart community.

The State Cinema owns a beautiful Bookstore with a hand-picked selection of stationery, books and gifts. It operates 7 days a week and all year round. The Bookstore has an LGBTIQA+ section and they've both supported and hosted events for the LGBTIQ+ community in the past and will happily continue to do so.
