Advocacy & Allies - Education & Training - Health & Wellbeing - Social Groups

Scarlet Alliance Tasmanian Sex Worker Project is run by sex workers, for sex workers. Scarlet Alliance, Australian Sex Workers Association, through our objectives, policies and programs, aims to achieve equality, social, legal, political, cultural and economic justice for past and present workers in the sex industry, in order for sex workers to be self-determining agents, building our own alliances and choosing where and how we work. Scarlet Alliance works towards sex worker rights (legal, health, industrial, civil) and uses health promotion approaches to achieve this. Scarlet Alliance promotes best practices including peer education, community development, community engagement and advocacy. The Scarlet Alliance Tasmanian Sex Worker Project has filled the gap of a state funded peer based sex worker organisation and provided advocacy, representation and services for sex workers in Tasmania since 2004. Scarlet Alliance also provides specific information, services, referrals and advocacy for LGBTIQA+ sex workers in Tasmania
