Health & Wellbeing - Professional Services

Pulse Youth Health South provides a range of support for individual young people from our centre in Glenorchy. Young people can drop in and see a worker for support and brief intervention – no appointments are needed.

We can provide: • Information, advocacy and support • Referral to other services • Help with navigating the health system • Free pregnancy testing and support • Free condoms and help with the cost of health items. We also have a range of visiting services which young people can access by appointment, including: • A Sexual Health Clinic (run by Family Planning Tasmania) • A Psychology Clinic (run by the University Psychology Clinic) and an outreach Psychology Service (run by Headspace).

We provide education and information to groups of young people to build on their skills, knowledge and confidence to make healthy choices. These programs are run from our service, in schools, in colleges and in the community. Where a young person wishes to access the service but is not able to get to our Centre in Glenorchy, we can see young people in other locations. Other visiting services may also operate from the centre based on need. ALL services are free and confidential.
