Mike Gaffney is the Member of the Tasmanian Legislative Council for Mersey, which includes the Devonport City and Latrobe municipalities. As a Member of Parliament he aims to assist and support all community members especially those who at times may be marginalised or fell vulnerable. He has attended and sponsored LGBTIQA+ events in the past, and has been an advocate for marriage equality and other LGBTIQA+ issues in parliament. Mike Gaffney provided a letter of support for our successful Devonport City Council community grant application in 2020.
