Kentish Regional Clinic Inc. delivers three programs; Community Response to Eliminating Suicide (CORES), Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) and LGBTIQ Professional Development.
They run full day professional development courses for people to assist and deepen their understanding and confidence in working with LGBTIQ people. These workshops will focus on the experiences of LGBTIQ people in regional and rural Australia, the three critical points of an LGBTIQ person’s mental health journey and practical strategies to improve everyday practice to work effectively in an effort to reduce suicide. The workshops will include a screening of iNTERSExION to help participants to understand more about Intersex people and also people living outside binary genders.
