Kentish Regional Clinic Inc. delivers three programs; Community Response to Eliminating Suicide (CORES), Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) and LGBTIQA+ Professional Development.
They run full day professional development courses for people to assist and deepen their understanding and confidence in working with LGBTIQA+ people. These workshops will focus on the experiences of LGBTIQA+ people in regional and rural Australia, the three critical points of an LGBTIQA+ person’s mental health journey and practical strategies to improve everyday practice to work effectively in an effort to reduce suicide. The workshops will include a screening of iNTERSExION to help participants to understand more about Intersex people and also people living outside binary genders.
