We exist to provide you with a safe, stable foundation to grow, dream and build your future.
For over 50 years, we’ve been helping young Tasmanians with employment, education, housing and relationships.
We help young people from age five to 25, with:
- Rental subsidies to help you afford a stable place to live.
- Educational support to help you re-engage with school or pursue further learning.
- Family and relationship support to foster better communication and rebuild connections.
- Ending violence in the home so you can live in a safe, supportive environment.
- Accessing essential services to connect you to the support you need to live independently.
- Crisis and immediate support to help you find a safe space when you feel like you’re out of options.
Everyone deserves a home base; we’re here to help you build yours.
Home Base have a pride group called Queerspace leading ideas for creating safe spaces and training, rainbow stickers in all our offices, staff wear pride lanyards and have pronoun badges, and training has been delivered to the whole organisation on gender, sexuality, and supporting the trans and gender diverse community. Home Base doesn’t specialise in LGBTIQA+ specific services but we refer people as needed.
